The focus of last edition of ISPO for ROICA™ by Asahi Kasei has been ROICA™ Eco-Smart family, a world-first range of unique innovative and responsible made premium stretch fibres, with 2 real sustainable solutions:

o A ROICA™ with GRS (Global Recycling Standard by TEXTILE EXCHANGE) version 3 certified yarn with more than 50% pre- consumer recycled content.
o A ROICA™ with Gold Level Material Health Certificate awarded yarn from the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute – for product ingredients that have been evaluated throughout the supply chain for impacts on human and environmental health, building towards eliminating all toxic and unidentified chemicals for a safe continuous cycle- and Hohenstein Environment Compatibility Certificate, as it smartly breaks down without releasing less harmful substances.

During ISPO, ROICA™ displayed a new series of commercial ROICA™ success stories inside our three dimensional ROICA™ Modern Wardrobe presentation, with the ROICA™ Active Wardrobe, the ROICA™ Innovation fabric gallery, and the exclusive ROICA™ Closet.
In the ROICA™ ACTIVE WARDROBE some of the latest Summer 2018 innovations that use the specialized families of ROICA™ premium stretch yarns demonstrated how ROICA™ is transforming performance stretch with hi-tech smarts and ecoresponsible innovation. They include:

  • Maloja, an outdoor speciality brand with its roots in nature and wellbeing, Maloja is presenting many lines using ROICA™, and here we present a new mid layer technical x-country ski set with fabrics from MITI, using the GRS certified ROICA™ Eco- Smart family of responsible stretch yarns.

 

 

 

  • Safetti has used fabric innovations from PENN Textile Solutions, with the unique ROICA™ Eco-Smart family, in a range of garments designed and manufactured for real cyclists, who value the garments with a combination of fashion, innovation, high quality and exclusivity, looking to shine in the peloton. SAFETTI® is also committed to a cleaner planet and brings
    the company to choose smart and innovative materials for its production. The fabric by PENN Textile Solutions has gripping edge thanks to the elastomer, which also makes it completely hypoallergenic and more performing and maximizing wearability and comfort, minimizing the use of seams.

Together, these brands show the importance and reality of new, smart and responsible materials for the 21st C. They bring to life new ideas that fit the supply chain for our target consumer confirming a clear brand identity that redefines performance creativity.
The second part of the Modern Wardrobe showcased ROICA™ INNOVATION, where you could find the latest textile performance innovations in the ROICA™ Fabric Gallery with a rich and varied fabric offer that focuses shows partner mill ranges that have inspired brands creativity, such as those above. And highlights include:

  • M.I.T.I. Spa: presented Green Soul, a new fabric line made with fully recycled fibers. Ten different fabrics belong to this products line whose composition is both polyamide/ROICA™ Eco-Smart family and Polyester/ ROICA™ Eco-Smart family offering a 100% recycled
    fiber warp knitted stretch fabrics.
  • TINTEX presented a wide range of ‘Naturally Advanced’ eco-responsible jersey performance solutions based on a menu of natural, better and organic sourced materials transformed into hi-tech hybrids with new laminations, coatings, colorations and finishings. Many of these new fabric styles use the ROICA™ Eco-Smart family of sustainably designed stretch yarns to maintain the TINTEX commitment to smart and responsible manufacture. A hybrid proposal with a classic casual textured look and reassuring handle produced with smart ingredients – modal, ECOTEC® Smart Cotton by Marchi & Fildi and ROICA™ Eco-Smart family, ROICA™ Eco-Smart family stretch blends with Tencel and recycled polyester, and the award winning cork-coated BCI cotton with ROICA™ Eco-Smart family stretch: a true circular economy material for outershell and accessory innovations.
