C.L.A.S.S. @ Munich Fabric Start

From the 5th to the 7th February, C.L.A.S.S. will be present at Munich Fabric Start with its unique Eco-Library in a special dedicated area.

New year, new goals.

Following on from a busy 2012 in which two new showrooms were opened (first Helsinki, then Madrid) and many events – involving top level international partnerships – were organised which allowed us to reach new heights, C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity, Lifestyle And Sustainable Synergy) begins 2013 with a new, important initiative: to unite its efforts with Munich Fabric Start, one of the leading international trade fairs for fabrics and accessories.

From the 5th -7th February, C.L.A.S.S. will not only be present at the event with its unique Eco-Library in a special dedicated area but will take part in different initiatives with the aim of providing culture, information and promoting all aspects of responsible innovation in the fashion sector.

“We are really enthusiastic about our synergy with C.L.A.S.S.”, – Reported Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director of MFS. “By combining our efforts we can offer an improved level of relevant information and clear indications as to the new values surrounding innovation in the fashion sector. And we can find new ways to express high level developments that will be highly visible at the event.”

“At C.L.A.S.S. we have always been convinced that union and synergy create not only great strength, but can also multiply the results…but only as long as there is agreement on intent, content and objectives! The Munich Fabric Start team around Sebastian Klinder is, without doubt, a perfectly aligned partner who will allow us all to take a great step forward in understanding this important and fundamental paradigm of values linked to responsible innovation in the fashion sector for its territory. “ says Giusy Bettoni founder and CEO of C.L.A.S.S.

The Eco-Library of C.L.A.S.S. is, as always, a key protagonist with its ever-increasing rich variety of new materials which are divided into 3 categories (Natural and Organic, Repurposed and Recycled, Renewable Innovations). The largest collection of its kind contains not only a wide variety of fabrics, but above all a large variety of materials: to name but a few…from organic silk to Cardato Regenerated, from organic wool to the technological platform NewlifeTM, from the milk protein to Crabyon® fibre, from Monocel® to hemp. It is important to underline how each yarn/fabric which is part of the CLASS eco-library is equipped with technical and environmental certifications and apply to fashion criteria.

Among the initiatives C.L.A.S.S. will implement together with Munich Fabric Start, we can find a round table named “Design Responsibility” that will be held on 5th February, 11-12 am (Eco Village/ Foyer 4). It will be about the different influences and roles that various players (representing different levels of the supply chain) allow the achievement of a great fashionable, performing and responsible product.
