Bologna, April 6-8, 2011
Tre Effe tannery displays the unique “Maty” shoe by Rizieri worn by Livia Firth, Colin Firth’s wife, at the Golden Globe Award ceremony during which her husband won the Best Actor Award.
The “Maty” shoe by Rizieri was manufactured using ROOTS , an innovative and sustainable leather produced by Tre Effe tannery.
Rizieri® brand known for its creativity, excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, first encountered ROOTS leather through its partnership with C.L.A.S.S., and subsequently used it to manufacture the “MATY” shoe. Livia Firth, Creative Director of Eco Age, who has a friendly connection with C.L.A.S.S., discovered the shoe and was impressed by the expertise of both Tre Effe tannery and Rizieri. She chose to wear the “MATY” shoes during the Golden Globe Awards.
Tre Effe tannery is the producer of this exclusive leather in which beauty and style meet research, know-how and eco-sustainable innovation. ROOTS leather stands out because:
* Hides come from water buffalo which have not been slaughtered, but died due to adverse weather conditions.
* It is dyed using extracts from plants and vegetables and finished with beeswax, no chemical procedures are used.
* The innovative research and technology used by Tre Effe tannery to tan this leather mean that no chrome or heavy metals need to be employed in the process.
* The suitability for use, the quality and the authenticity of this leather line are guaranteed by ICEA Organic Certification.
Rizieri® was created by the young Italian designer Riccardo Rizieri Broglia with a keen aesthetic sense and environmental awareness, who set up his very personal creative project basing it on unique values such as excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail and the exclusive elegance of Italian style. He made space in his shoe and accessory collections for natural and eco-sustainable materials.
