MOLA Evento, May 22-27 – Montevideo Uruguay

Water and heritage were the main themes of the second edition of Moda Latinoamericana, MOLA Evento.
An especially relevant and important design and sustainability event in the region. Surrounded by water and heritage, the event took place in the Uruguayan capital on May 22-27.
MOLA is a multi-disciplinary Latin-American fashion platform, with a focus on sustainability. A project of the program “Heritage in Movement” of the Foundation Entre Soles y Lunas and co-produced by Dolmen.
Moreover, the platform is based on sustainability, innovation and technology. Socializes knowledge, investigations, creativity and design born from different points of the american continent along with referents from Europe and Asia.
MOLA’s purpose is to intervene the chain of production of fashion to create alternatives of sustainable development, specially for young people and productive communities, to whom retribute greater wellbeing and life quality.

Therefore this year, C.L.A.S.S.’ Giusy Bettoni  presented smart materials from the C.L.A.S.S. Material Hub that speak to key concepts of water and heritage.

Furthermore, being dedicated to supporting to responsible learning, Ms. Bettoni is proud to offer mentorship to the MOLA fashion competition winner Gaia.
