An international conference which involved Italy and Scandinavian countries. Milan, October 19th .
On the occasion of the 5th edition of Ragnarock Nordic Festival, Ragnarock Association together with Culture Futures and with the Danish Cultural Institute has presented Culture Futures, an international conference during which Italy and Scandinavian countries discussed the role that design, fashion, food and, in general, innovation can play in guiding people toward more sustainable standards of living.
C.L.A.S.S. was with the most distinguished designers, representatives of the fashion industry and the most creative intellectuals from Northern Europe as the Director of the development Department at the Danish Fashion Institute, met their Italian counterparts to share ideas and best practices. The conference took place in Sala Alessi (Palazzo Marino, Milan, 19 Oct 2011).
Ragnarock re-presents the conference Culture Futures which is becoming an international well known platform to promote the solutions launched in Scandinavia, trying to come up with a new and different point of view.
Giusy Bettoni, director of C.L.A.S.S., introduced the unique and innovative forum for eco-textile, fashion, lifestyle, home and design with her speech entitled International Organization specialized in the production of sustainable and innovative items for fashion and design.
Some of the other participants were Morten Kabell, Member of the Copenhagen City Council and Vice Chairman for the Technical and Environmental Committee of the City of Copenhagen, Matteo Fornara – Director of the European Commission office in Milan, Kigge Hvid, CEO of INDEX: Award, Jonas Eder-Hansen, Development Director at Danish Fashion Institute and at NICE (Nordic Initiative Clean & Ethical), Kasper Sewerin Fogh Hansen, Director of Communications of Food Organization of Denmark, non-profit association created to promote Danish and Nordic food, Finn Mortensen, Executive director of State of Green, the official green brand of Danmark, Maximiliano Mutti, Country Manager Envac Italia, leader in the production of facilities for the waste disposal, Francesco Nastasi, Country Manager for Italy Latitude Solar, leader company in the production of solar panels.
Ragnarock Association is a cultural no-profit association founded in Milan in 2007 with the aim to create a productive face-off between different cultures through politics, arts and economics. Every year Ragnarock organizes the Ragnarock Nordic Festival, the biggest festival of Northern European culture in Italy with aim to promote Scandinavian best practices in the field of environmental sustainability, trying to get to a common view on design, sustainability and innovation.
