C.L.A.S.S. @ The Future of Fashion is Innovation – Arnhem

On June 19th CLASS participated, during the MoBA (Fashion Biënnale Arnhem), in the event: “The Future of Fashion is Innovation/ The big challenges and innovation in the Fashion and Textile Industry”. A series of workshops where participants could interact with interesting speakers during the seminar . A one-day expert meeting at MoBA Podium.

The aim of this seminar had been a combination of a workshops where participants can collaborate in research and a seminar with interesting speakers on this subject.

Create a network, share knowledge and innovation ideas and (hopefully) start collaboration in research and innovation projects in the future. Time is there to re-think fashion and textile to see if there are more sustainable ways to produce fabric (bio-based, smart material) and to manufacture closer to home. Especially within this trend (comparable with local food/slow food movement) we are looking for new small scale local ateliers, craftsmen, weavers, knitters and spinners to create a new network to work in.

Un one-day meeting with Catarina Midby (H&M), Sabine Seymour (Parsons/Moondial), Carlien Helmink (Studio JUX) e Farid Tabarki (trendwatcher of the year 2012)
