The C.L.A.S.S. team will also be available during Textile Exchange’s Sustainability Conference. We will demonstrate the embedded values of a fantastic range of smart material innovations backed by sustainable credentials from C.L.A.S.S.’ Material Hub.

Giusy Bettoni, C.L.A.S.S. CEO and Founder and her team will have a dedicated space inside the conference venue. We will engage attendees in an open discussion on fashion business strategies importance as we highlight a wide-range of responsible materials.  The experience in the space will reflect a New York event created for C.L.A.S.S. by Ginger Design. The path will start with the vision of a film by Cristina Picchi. It represents harmony between the various phases of the textile process and the cycles of natural elements. After that, visitors will walk through a three-dimensional installation designed by Cécile Feilchenfeldt. The atmosphere suggested by the artist work, inspires creativity and explores the limitless possibilities using innovative smart materials.

Discover smart materials speaking to circular economy

Many of the materials the C.L.A.S.S. team will showcase speak to circular economy. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover Re.VerSo™, Bemberg™ and ROICA™ by Asahi Kasei, Iluna Group and TINTEX Textiles. All of them use technological breakthroughs to offer fashion materials that provide significant reductions in water during the manufacturing process. This is definitely an important step toward responsible future fashion systems.

“We are always proud to have a presence at international events including this year’s Textile Exchange’s Sustainability Conference. It is a great way for us to share our expertise regarding responsible innovation and new business model strategies. Being held in Milan provides a chance for us to support Textile Exchange regarding smart material innovation, many of them produced in Italy.” said Bettoni.

Just returned from Première Vision in Paris, Bettoni is also the Sustainability Consultant for Smart Creation. Thanks to this, she recognizes that for her company is important to have a strong international presence. This, in order to spread C.L.A.S.S.’ message to a global audience regarding responsible creation. Furthermore, a new division, C.L.A.S.S. Education, which Bettoni co-founded with James Mendolia, also a Professor, Fashion Institute of Technology. Therefore, Mendolia has been visiting universities to speak to fashion design, business, textiles and production students in Europe, Asia and North America.
