Collection made with fabrics sourced from the CLASS eco-library.

Chloë Haywood, founder of Hatastic! won Young Clothes Show Designer of the Year when she was only 16. Leságe himself offered her an opportunity to study at his school in Paris at the time. Chloës’ desire to rejuvenate and transform the old, unused and unloved, into something strangely beautiful is essentially the ethic of Hatastic! and with collections shown at Milan and London Fashion Weeks, and designs seen in Vogue, Elle, The Times and The Wedding Magazine this ethical label has come a long way since it started as a hobby in 2009.

Her designs have most recently seen vintage straws and remnants being transformed into unique headpieces. Chloe has recently collaborated with Jake & Maya Collective and designed a range of childrens hats and is now excited to launch her new SS14 collection Board in January 2014 taking a different route using upcycled skateboards in the form of studs and buckles, plus working with hand-dyed fairtrade panama straw, nevermind the introduction of recycled fabrics from NewlifeTM. Watch out SS14!

Chloë solely designs and creates in her workshop at the end of her garden in Surrey and is proud to be a Member 500 of The Ethical Fashion Forum.

SS14 Collection

THE INSPIRATION After working with disadvantaged teens over the last year, I was inspired by their spirit and creativity. Restrictions caused by broken homes, poor backgrounds or health problems caused them to experiment in dangerous environments. They craved praise and freedom, and once given this they

very quickly demonstrated a sense of natural play and stunning inspiration. I wanted to highlight the importance of safe public spaces where kids can feel free, experiment and play. Skateparks have a social stigma around them that they’re “wild and noisy, contributing to neighbourhood noise pollution and an eyesore” (graffiti etc). The threatened closure of Southbanks’ Skatepark would be hugely detrimental for these kids and I dedicate this collection to them.
