ECO MATERIALS IN SHANGHAI

C.L.A.S.S. is now consolidating its recent successes at Paris Première Vision, by staging a rerun of the first-of-its-kind panel discussion held there, as well as showing its textile eco-library during Première Vision Shanghai on the 22nd and 23rd October. This will be the second time that Premiere Vision and C.L.A.S.S. have aligned themselves to share important common objectives by jointly hosting a discussion on the topic of responsible innovation. This confirms the growing appreciation for sustainable, quality design as the new model for real business growth and influence in the textile and fashion business today. And in Shanghai, a new panel of textile professionals and commentators will share their experience with an invited audience, and show how designing responsibly is totally compatible with creativity and technical and technological progress.

Moderated by Giusy Bettoni, CEO of C.L.A.S.S., prestigious speakers will take part of the discussion, among them:

– Luca Galvani – Sustainability and Compliance manager, Giorgio Armani

– Hu Yue- Deputy General Manager of design & development, Mixmind Art & Design Co.

– Leo Koo- General Manager of Prosperity Textile

– Enrique Silla – President of Jeanologia

“RESPONSIBLE CREATION: ISSUES AND VALUES FOR FASHION”

Round table on Tuesday 22 October, 5 pm – Seminar Room

And this is by no means an academic presentation, as demonstrated at the Paris event, attended by over 200 industry professionals. Here, clear examples were revealed showing how a raw material ingredient, such as NewLife™ can be leveraged successfully, and how it was nurtured by a leading fashion brand to become a high level mainstream collection offer for summer 2014 already! It was through the passion of Laura Lusuardi from Max Mara that this was achieved so nimbly. She praised the efforts of everyone in the supply chain and importantly confirmed that it was all about being fashionably on-point, while being alert to important new technologies, combined with a commitment to a textile heritage that’s rooted in responsible innovation.

This dynamic example alone shows how partnerships can make a difference.

And textiles creativity is at the heart of it, and during the show C.L.A.S.S. will present the latest selection of innovative fabrics from the C.L.A.S.S. resource eco-library so that visitors can experience the evolution of innovation and creativity these new materials represent today.

ECO MATERIALS IN TOKYO

Immediately following the Shanghai Premiere Vision salon, C.L.A.S.S. will set up the same eco-library at the Bunka Fashion Incubation in Tokyo, 30-31 October in conjunction with the Workshop Filati, to share its global resource with a new audience of decision makers in Japan. And for those who cannot visit Shanghai, customers can always work directly with one of the CLASS showrooms, the first and principle one is based in Milan, and also now in London, Madrid and Helsinki.
