Rethinking Fashion Sustainability – Milan, March 7th, 2019

We, as technical partner of the event, had the pleasure to invite you to “Rethinking Fashion Sustainability”. The event, that celebrated its third edition, took place in the venue of Boston Consulting Group, on the 7th of March from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

For istance, the Fashion industry is responsible for a large impact on the environment. Through toxic chemical use, textile and plastic waste or energy and water overexploitation, it has generated a big debt with nature. In this context, Circular Economy has become the road map to zero impact in the fashion industry.

Attendats had the chance to discover some of the most relevant initiatives undertaken by key opinion leaders in this field, including ZalandoThe North Face, OVS and Caudalie. Also, research from Politecnico di Milano presented the best practices for corporates to approach sustainability in a strategic way.

Moreover, the results from the “Circularity Ideathon” developed by fashion and business students and coordinated by Milano Fashion Institute were presented to give a flavour of the appetite of Millennials for a more sustainable fashion.
