Newlife™ by Saluzzo Yarns is one of C.L.A.S.S. eco-material library’s key products and we are very pleased to announce that it has won the Environmental Business Award (Premio Impresa Ambiente) in the category “Best Product”!

On December 13th in Rome the Minister for the Environment, Corrado Clini, announced the winners of the sixth edition of the Premio Impresa Ambiente, from amongst the Italian companies that have most contributed to improving sustainable development, respect for the environment and social responsibility. The Premio Impresa Ambiente, sponsored by the Ministry for the Environment and the Camera del Commercio (Chamber of Commerce) of Rome – Asset Camera -, puts a spotlight on the best business projects and products from Italian companies that consider sustainable innovation a strategical asset for competitiveness. The jury selected the five winners and awarded seven honorable mentions, from the 196 applications received. For the “Best Product” category the award went to Saluzzo Yarns, Sinterama Group, Saluzzo (Cuneo) for the technologically innovative product Newlife ™ a certified range of high quality polyester yarns, with a large number of textile applications, made entirely from recycled plastic bottles treated solely by mechanical methods (not chemical), and with an exclusive production chain that is fully traceable and 100% Italian.

Last, but not least, Saluzzo Yarns, with Newlife ™, as winner of this award, will be legally admitted to participate in the European Business Awards for the Environment, the prestigious awards sponsored by the Commissione Europea Divisione Generale Ambiente (European Commission –General Division for the Environment) aimed at those companies that through their “green policy” have increased their competitiveness at national and European level.
