NATI CON LA CAMICIA: a responsible fashion story “Made In Italy”

The idea was born in Berlin, in 2010, during the fair Bread and Butter when Rean Bonato, 27 yrs old from Bassano del Grappa, decided to transform Italian style into a creative product starting from a sartorial symbol of Made in Italy: the shirt!

On the way back from his trip he patented a wallet created from the cuff of a shirt as the subject of his University dissertation. Just a few months later, he was at Pitti Uomo, in Florence.

The link between the wallet and the shirt inspired the name of the Brand “Nati con la camicia” and opens up a whole new way to think about the Italian shirt, through its many limited editions. The brand works with many artisanal companies from Treviso, Bassano, and the district of Como where Rean retrieves the fabrics to be up-cycled..

“Sartorial fashion” is the key phrase: elegance, uniqueness and customization. The doubled fabric of the cuff characterises all the products made: wallets, pochette, hats, bags and ties. The goal is to become known internationally, indeed the Brand already has an e-commerce channel, but it aims for a more customized product allowing those with a shirt of which they are particularly fond to use it as the starting point for the desired new article.
