On November 18-19 Jill Heller, founder of PureThread, teamed up with Giusy Bettoni to create the first C.L.A.S.S. meeting in New York City. This invite-only intimate gathering was dedicated to selected NY area designers.

Along with like minded colleagues, we shared knowledge and development ideas , thanks to the exploration and inspiration of CLASS ecolibrary. C.L.A.S.S.’s Bettoni and Heller met individually with New York City based designers to discuss some of the recent developments in eco textiles and offered an opportunity for designers to touch the fabrics, learn about new yarns and innovations in eco-textiles, as well as learn more about their best applications for fashion design.

“Amid discussions of trends in design, the interest centered on textiles and sourcing sustainability, as well as where goods are manufactured”, said Jill Heller. “I see a very good trend, and I am certain that now is the right time to introduce the CLASS eco library to the New York and US market.”
