A stunning black couture dress modelled by a magnificent, dark-skinned model heralded the launch of the Gattinoni Couture fashion show s/s 2010 at Santo Spirito in Sassia on Sunday January 31st.
In keeping with the design house’s eco-responsibility policy for pioneering innovations and ways in which to further protect the environment, this statement piece was a long asymmetrical dress, cinched in at the waist by a belt embroidered with splinters of glass, made from a revolutionary Ingeo® fabric.
Ingeo is an environmentally friendly yarn that combines a high level of technology with ingredients which have been derived in it entirety from renewable resources.
This statement piece is a new-generation textile development, which was the result of a joint collaboration between C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity Lifestyle Sustainable Sinergy), Lei-tsu a top-notch throwster manufacturer, and leading textile company Boselli E. & C. Spa. The fabric is made from a 100% Ingeo biopolymer.
Thanks to a unique manufacturing process, which includes a calendering treatment, the dress
Is silky soft, with a fabulous bright finish and demonstrates that eco responsible textiles can be super lux.
