C.L.A.S.S. eco-library in Madrid

After opening a showroom in Helsinki, now C.L.A.S.S. is repeating the performance in Madrid. The showroom benefits in full from the support of Fabrics For Freedom.

The special expertise acquired in a mere five years by the global eco forum that Giusy Bettoni set in motion to promote the development of nature friendly products for fashion, home and design through a wide range of fabrics, yarns, processes and services keeps capturing the imagination of markets worldwide. As for the Spanish one, it is proving particularly appealing thanks to three key factors: the solid presence of vibrant brands and retailers, the importance of the textile industry, its role as a gateway to Latin America, future objective of C.L.A.S.S.

The showroom in Madrid, at 12 Calle Conde de Xiquena in the trendy Las Salesas district, benefits in full from the support of Fabrics For Freedom, the non-profit foundation pioneered by prominent Spanish designer Sybilla Sorondo. What cements the partnership between C.L.A.S.S. and FFF, which in turn enjoys the cooperation of a multidisciplinary team seeking new ways to improve the fashion industry, is the conviction that sustainability represents the sole path to the future. Not coincidentally, the FFF motto is “One day, all the clothes we wear will have a wonderful backstory”. The two partners share the threefold mission of enhancing awareness about responsible textile consumption, supplying apparel companies with organic and/or ethical fabrics, promoting natural fibers and handicrafts from small community social/business projects.

Giusy Bettoni, heart and soul of C.L.A.S.S., welcomes the new showroom saying: “We take great pride in this further step forward and in the strong bond with our new partner. What gives our work an extra plus is our joint understanding of the fundamental importance of creating and sharing a culture of excellence while also building an effective and enduring network”. The FFF team expresses equal enthusiasm: “ It is always wonderful to find travel companions who share your same ideas and objectives. Really a pleasure and much excitement on our part in developing this joint work and create a large network in the world of sustainable textiles”.

So, now Madrid joins the list of cities – Milan, London, Helsinki – with a visionary C.L.A.S.S.showroom. And just as the others do, this one too has a comprehensive library of materials available for businesses, designers and buyers that care deeply about the future of planet Earth and the people who inhabit it.
